Catalogue of the collection of photographs made by Sir David Brewster between 1839 and 1850, focus on early photography in Scotland (Hill-Adamson, Talbot, etc). Notable for 10 full-page plates (1 in color) and 47 text figures, as well as the reproductions from the remaining album leaves. Foreword by John Walsh; includes a selected bibliography and index of personal and place names. One of 3000 copies printed (the entire edition).Over 100 Color & b/w Illustrations (chiefly b/w photographs).
