About This Item

New York: Smart Art Press, 1995. Fine in soft covers. The catalog based on a traveling exhibition that focuses on the interrelationships between these three cultures. Of course, the surprise is the inclusion of Irish. That becomes clear in the catalogue and also in a clipping from the Los Angeles Times dated September 1997 about an obscure --in this country--corner of history: the St. Patrick's Battalion, a group of Irish soldiers who deserted the U.S. Army and joined the Mexican forces during the Mexican-American War of 1846. The article on faded newsprint is tucked in (covered with archival paper to prevent stains to the book). It's a remarkable book, 288 pages, including a music CD from the exhibition. The CD is still in the original jacket, unopened, so not only is this the complete work, but you get a fascinating newspaper article from the LA Times. What could be better?. 1st Edition. Soft Cover. Illus. by Photographs, black and white, color.
