Collins Clear-Type Press, London, 1958 Seifert (1897-1983) was an American author who wanted to be a doctor but was discouraged by her family from pursuing that goal. Instead she wrote over 75 novels about doctors between 1940 and 1983. The sale item is the first British edition from 1958. Brown cloth binding with gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight and square, clean and bright with minor bumping but no other problems. Unclipped dust jacket has several repaired tears and a major chip at the bottom edge of the spine. 256 pages.
