Harcourt Brace, "Published March, 1929" on copyright page with no additional printings listed. Blue linen with orange print. Near fine with very light rubbing to title panel. An exceptionally bright and tight copy, with card signed by Sinclair Lewis with a small portrait of Lewis laid in at front endpaper. Unclipped dust jacket (2.50) with content description, no reviews on front flap. Dust jacket condition is very good: closed tears at either side of heel, small chip to left bottom corner of spine. Minor chipping to corners, minor creasing the closed tear at head of spine. Now in mylar. Faint sunning to spine of dj and front edge. Ships same or next business day from Dinkytown in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Synopsis

First published in 1929, Dodsworth tells the story of a well-to-do American couple, Sam and Fran, who move to Europe and learn that they don't have much in common. When the woman becomes involved with another man and falls into the spell of romantic Europe, her husband must choose between forgiving his wife or abandoning the relationship and returning to America alone.
