Very large, sturdy book, quality orange cloth with gilt logo bright at top front, gilt lettering very bright on spine, a colorful bookplate with a name inside top front cover, 224 stiffer heavy pages, an extensive section of full-page maps, profusely illustrated including many photos of actual pages. DJ glossy light brown background, a color-illustration of purple arch with medieval scenes on front, an illustration of William the Conqueror monument at center back. DJ has tiny tear at spine top left edge. Near Very Fine DJ/Very Fine book.
