The introductory section includes a "Geographical and Geological Sketch" by G.M. Dawson and "Sports and Pastimes", by E.T.D. Chambers and W.H. Fuller. The routes follow, comprising the trans-Atlantic routes, travel from New York, Boston and Portland, then internal excursions and journeys through the provinces and up to Alaska. Information on rail, steamer and coach routes, hotels, restaurants, local history, etc. The front free endpaper is missing which continues the list of the Baedeker publications from the front pastedown. The front inside hinge has been archvally taped for most of its length due to the front half of the first map being loose in the binding (separation shows at the centre of the map), tiny chip at the fore-edge of pages xiii to xviii, corner tear archivally taped on 'Montreal' map, thin light water stain at the fore-edge of approx. pages 125 to end of the book, light browning to pages and maps, small white stain on front cover, the rear cover has some light color loss, and one or two very small stains. darkening/browning to the edges of the text block, very light fading to spine colour, two very small corner bumps. . Second Revised Edition.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
