About This Item
[Farmington Hills, MI]: [Horizon Press], 1997. Hardcover. Small 4to. Green paper over boards, pictorial dust jacket. 384pp. Fine/fine. Red inkstamped on the front pastedown of this true first edition states "Pre Publication / Review Copy." First edition of the second Dr. Alex Seacourt thriller, signed large and hastily by Davis in black ballpoint on the front flyleaf, below which he adds "(First Edition)" -- this last unique and valuable author contribution added because the 1998 second printing of this book is easily mistaken for the first, since its copyright page bears the standard number line with the "1" present. This number line is lacking from the true first edition, which instead states "May 1997" on the copyright page; the second printing also bears different pagination and has 392 pages.
