Nigel West is a military historian specialising in security and intelligence topics. He sits on the editorial board of the International Journal of Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence and Global War Studies and, for the past three years, he has chaired the panel of judges for the annual St Ermin's Intelligence Book of the Year award. He is also the recipient of the US Association of Former Intelligence Officers' first Lifetime Literature Achievement award.
