London: Jonathan Cape Limited, 1927. Second impression. Hardcover. g. 8vo. 422pp. Red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Head and tail of spine and lower corners bumped. Minor scuffing to covers. Front endpaper taped to hinges. Bookplate of Bruce Bryan, the noted author and long time curator of the Southwest Museum of the American Indians in Pasadena. The book deals with the early Pre-Roman and historical remains in the British Isles, Avebury, Stonehenge, the structure of archaic England, and concludes with a chapter on artisitc, political, and psychological degeneration. Introduction by G. Elliot Smith. Illustrated with annotated b/w photographs and three site maps. In good condition.
