About This Item

This is most likely a First Edition, but this is not stated; there are no indications of later printings. The book contains 98 full-page color and black-and-white prints. Most are from the 19th and 20th centuries, with a few earlier. The text by Bartlett Hayes beautifully complements the nice variety of American artwork presented.
