About the author

Patricia Garfield is a worldwide authority on dreams. A clinical psychol-ogist, she has been studying dreams professionally for more than forty years. She taught college-level courses on dreams as well as courses on psychology for many years. Dr. Garfield's first book, Creative Dreaming, is considered a classic. A best-seller when it was first published in 1974, it has been in print continuously ever since and has appeared in fifteen foreign languages. She also wrote and illustrated Pathway to Ecstasy: The Way of the Dream Mandala; Your Child's Dreams; Women's Bodies, Women's Dreams; The Healing Power of Dreams; The Dream Messenger: How Dreams of the Departed Bring Healing Gifts; and The Universal Dream Key: The 12 Most Common Dream Themes Around the World.
