Description:
New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1975. Historical and modern accounts of possession & exorcism, some involving the author's own experiences. Leek, born in England in 1917, was an antique dealer & self-professed witch who attracted enough publicity by the early 1950s to compel her landlord not to renew her lease, after which she moved to the United States where she found success as an astrologist & occultist and author of many books, of which this is one of the scarcer. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured; first edition (first printing), listing no later printings. Light wear to book; minor stains to fore-edge, light foxing/tanning & small ink sign to endsheets; price-clipped jacket rubbed with some chipping & tanning, the same ink sign (a monogram?) inside the jacket in two places. Text clean; 253 pages, brief bibliography. . First American Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. Octavo.
