Charles Scribner's Sons, 1955. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. Fair ; No jacket. 1955 Charles Scribner's Sons. First Edition. "A" on title page in printing line. NOT ex-library. Hardcover has green cloth-covered boards with black spine lettering and cover illustration. Red, green, and black illustrations by the author. Binding loosening, slightly cracked at front hinge. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. Covers have moderate edge wear and surface rubbing, smudges, and a few small ink pen marks. Name in pencil on front free endpaper in a child's hand. One page torn at the bottom, but complete. A few pages have light handling smudges. Unpaginated (32 pages). No dust jacket. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
