Harrisburg, PA: Stackpole Books, 1976 Second edition, fully revised and expanded, of the 1942 work by F.H. Kortright. HB. Blue leatherette cloth lettered in gilt to spine and with gilt ducks vignette to front, and colour pictorial dustjacket. 544pp, large quarto. With 36 colour plates painted by T.M. Shortt, as well as many b&w illustrations in the text including line drawings of birds, and distribution maps and occurence charts for species. Fine book in Very Good clean jacket, which has very light wear to edges.
