The author also published numerous other world tour and world discovery books, a series list of which is included on the front free endpaper. Teal boards wtih seagreen cloth spine, heavy gilt and navy lettering and cover illustration, gilt top edge and uncut other edges, frontis portrait of Cornelis Steenwyck with protective tissue, 360 pages including index. The book is in very good condition with lightly rubbed spine ends, sound text block, good hinges, clean page with no names or other markings. . First Edition. Hard Cover. First Printing Very good+ in 1/4 light green buckram and dark green paper covered boards with dark green text on the spine with gilt decoration and gilt text on the front board. The top edge of the text block is gilt. An octavo of 8 3/4 by 5 1/2 inches with the front hinge cracked, but professionally reinforced and with light rubbing to the cloth at the head and heel of the spine. Without a dust jacket. Laid-in at the front of the book are a collection of 14 black and white photographs of New York City skyscrapers taken in the mid-1920's. 360 pages including an index and text. Illustrated with a frontispiece from an earlier work of art and with images throughout from black and white photographs, line art and other reproductions of earlier works of art.
