Very bottoms of a few rag page edges are darkened; covers good+ and clean but with bumps to spine head/tail and to corners.. Brick cloth with gilt designs and titles on cover and spine; blind-stamp borders. xlvi + 240 pp., followed by a list of subscribers. Color frontis; 9 color plates and more than 270 sepia illus. TEG. Heavy and will require extra postage. A lavish and large publication. Wonderful, crisp illustrations and useful annotations about the Earle Collection. Printed on heavy rag paper, with plates printed on glossy stock. Includes an introduction by Frank Falkner and a Supplementary Chapter by T. Sheppard. With a separate section on Toby Jugs.
