About This Item
Leipsic: Karl Baedeker, 1883. Cloth. Very Good. 6.5" by 4.5". Not Stated. A smart copy of this detailed travel handbook to the Eastern Alps from renowned German publisher, Karl Baedeker. Illustrated with twenty-five maps, twelve plans, and seven panoramas, eleven of which are folding. Collated complete. A detailed travel handbook to the Eastern Alps, including the Bavarian Highlands, the Tyrol, Salzkammergut, Styria, Carinthia, Carniola, and Istria. Written by Karl Ludwig Johannes Baedeker, a German publisher whose company, Baedeker, set the standard for authoritative guidebooks for tourists. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd mark to the boards and light fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd crease. A small closed tear to one of the folding maps due to handling. Very Good
