Description

Chicago, IL: E.E. Eaton, 1883. Book. Good condition. Paperback. First Edition. Octavo (8vo). 158 pages of text, incomplete, lacking the rear wrapper and the index which would have extened to at least 164 pages (total). The original printed front wrapper is torn, chipped, and discolored from several strips of clear adhesive tape. The spinestrip is mostly lacking and what remains covered in clear adhesive tape. There is adhesive staining to the first and final leaves of text as well, and the first and final pages of text are also torn and chipped. The first and last 20 pages are also discolored by staining. A rare survival of a trade catalog. Contains rifles made by J.P. Clapbrough & Bros., H. Richards, Bonehill, W. & C. Scott & Sons, Colt, Remington, N.R. Davis & Co., Baker, Parker, Winchester, Marlin, Kennedy, Ballard, Sharp's, Rupertus, Stevens', Shelton's, Quackenbush, Flobert; revolvers by Smith & Wesson, Colt, Forehand & Wadswoth, Merwin Hulbert & Co., etc. The text has minor soiling scattered here and there. No copy found anywhere. First edition..
