About This Item

Athol, Mass: W. Paul Cook, The Recluse Press, 1928. Limited Edition. The first book by Donald Wandrei, a collection of poems published when the author was 20. Two poems are dedicated to fellow "weird" author Clark Ashton Smith and poet George Sterling. Andrei was a friend of H. P. Lovecraft and along with August Derleth founded Arkham House, which posthumously published many of Lovecraft's books.

8vo. Purple cloth boards with paper label to the front board. Limited to 322 copies. An exceptionally fine copy that includes the glassine dust jacket, which has one tiny closed tear, but is otherwise fine.
