U.S. News and World Report, 1970. Limited/Numbered . Hardcover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. (The Presentation Edition, Limited Series No. 780) Six volumes, very large, heavy book, dark blue faux leather spines, blue cloth boards with bright gilt lettering and line design, all in huge blue slipcase damaged at back panel, gold color inside covers and adjacent end papers. Volume I: The Era of the New Deal 1933-1937, 667 lightly browned pages, ripple at back bottom right, perhaps wet at some time but no stain. Volume II: From Peace to War 1938-1941, 456 lightly browned pages and index. Volume III: The War Years 1941-1945, 318 pages. Volume IV: Reconstruction and the Cold War 1945-1953, 499 pages. Volume V: The Eisenhower Years 1953-1961. Light wear spot at bottom front, 468 lightly browned pages. Volume VI: The Kennedy-Johnson-Nixon Years 1961-1970, 469 lightly browned pages. Lawrence was editor and owner of the U.S. News and World Report magazine. Small very slight wear spot at bottom front left. Slipcase stained inside bottom, damaged on back panel which we can repair somewhat. Very Good set overall.
