12mo, photographic and pictorial stapled wraps featuring a large Cuban flag and Che Guevara seated at a desk on a stage. pp 28, illus, charts. Part one (and apparently the last) of a series entitled Ciclo de Problemas Economicos - issued by MinFAR (Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces). Written by Guevara in his role as Minister of Industry, this paper lauds the increased revenue pouring in to Cuba via its Socialist and/or communist allies, namely USSR, China, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Dominican Republic, and Bulgaria (from $1m in 1958 to $500m in 1961). He stands this against the economic loss sustained by the recent severance of economic ties with the United States, concluding of course that Cuba is in a far greater position for economic development as a result. Wraps separated from stapled block, front wrap foxed, with chipping at extremities, rear wrap soiled, text clean and solid. Official stamp on last page. Rare, only one copy in libraries worldwide, according to OCLC; none in the U.S.

A detailed map covering central and southern Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador and part of Honduras. Shows towns, cities, ports, mines, topographical features and "intendacies"-a political division before Mexico adopted "states". On first glance, this map is very similar to John Thomson's map of the same area, however Pinkterton's map is more detailed and contains more up to date information (based on Humboldt's map of a year prior). A scarce map published in what is considered one of the finest English atlases of the 19th century.Kapp, Central America early maps up to 1860, 89
