New York: Horace Liveright, 1928. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Poor. Complete in Two Volumes. Translated into English and with a Translator's Foreword, an Introduction to each Comedy, and Elucidatory Notes. Illustrated by Jean de Bosschere. Near Fine in Poor jackets, only the front panel and flap of Volume I, heavy rubbing, chipping, and tears to that of Volume 2. Black buckram, rubbed at the edges, with gilt lettering on the spines and front boards. Square and firmly bound with black top stains, toned endpapers, clean otherwise. An attractive--and at the time, expensive--two volume set of these classic Greek works.
