INSCRIBED on half-title by Troupe ("To Evette: To my beautiful sister black in her do, bad in her mojo juju. Peace and beautiful moments to you Quincy"). Yvette Le Roy, the inscribee, owned Liberty House, a bookshop in Harlem between 1969 and 1979, which offered a place during that decade for a lot of African American authors, probably including Quincy Troupe, to promote their books.
