This work includes The Formation of the Egg and of the Chick [De Formatione Ovi et Pulli] and The Formed Fetus [De Formato Foetu]. Howard Bernhardt Adelmann was an American zoologist-embryologist and historian of science. He was professor of histology and embryology at Cornell University from 1921 until 1963.
