Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean. Two previous owner bookplates (one on front pastedown, one of front free endpaper). "Dream-Children Edition" stated on title page. Inscribed and SIGNED BY AUTHOR, this is a limited edition (limited to 1351 copies, of which this is copy #357). Author's inscription: "Dream Children" - By common consent, the finest essay in the language. - (signed) A. Edward Newton." Pages and edges are clean. 235 pgs. with index and facsimile of hand-written manuscript for "Dream Children" in fine condition in rear sleeve. Illustrations throughout, including color frontis portrait of the author with clean tissue guard. In clean slipcase which is missing its top piece, has cracking and short tape repairs; clean title label on slipcase edge stating Dream-Children Edition No. 357. 8vo. Books on Books..
