St. Martin's Press, 1971 Pilcher (1924-2019) was a British author probably best remembered for her novel, The Shell Seekers, from 1987. Between 1951 and 1963, she used the name Jane Fraser. In 1965 she began using her real name for the title On My Own. The sale item was written in 1971, her fourth novel; no indication of first printing or additional printings on the copyright page. Black leatherette printing with gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight, bright and clean with no flaws. Unclipped dust jacket has minor repairs aat extremities and minor repairs have been made. 7.5 by 5.25 inches. 159 pages.
