Grayish and color-illustrated dust jacket with mylar cover. Illustrated endpapers. 388 pp. Approx 200 figures, mostly BW but a few color. A revised and enlarged edition of Goodison's original 1969 book. Discusses different types of barometers, particularly the mercurial barometer, as well as important makers and retailers of this furniture item that rose to popularity in the 17th and 18th centuries.
