An attractive volume depicted with beautiful coloured paintings of English lakes with descriptions, the second impression. A very attractive second edition copy of this volume illustrated with seventy-five stunning coloured paintings of English lakes by A. Heaton Cooper, with descriptions by W. T. Palmer. Cooper was a watercolourist, and was mainly known for his paintings of the English Lake District and Norway, as well as illustrating several travel guidebooks. In the publisher's original blue pictorial cloth binding, with titles stamped in gilt to front board and spine. In the original publisher's full decorative cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, minor chipping to the extremities. Previous ownership inscription to the front free endpaper, undated. internally, the hinges are slightly strained but firm, the volume firmly bound. Light spotting scattered to the occasional leaf. Illustrated with stunning coloured plates depicting English lakes and a sketch map of the Lake District. Very Good Indeed
