Illustrated throughout with seventy-five colour plates and a map to the rear. Collated complete. A guide to the lakes of England, with information on: Wordsworth's Rothay, Rydal and Grasmere, Coniston Water, and the glory of Ennerdale. Written by William Thomas Palmer, an English author. Illustrated by Alfred Heaton Cooper, an English watercolour artist best known for his landscapes of the English Lake District and Norway, and for illustrating several travel guidebooks. In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the extremities and minor rubbing to the joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper. Very Good
