Tight, handsome later (ca. 1966) Modern Library Giant (#G47), first published in 1939. Subtitled on front jacket panel "The Golden Age of English Philosophy... Includes John Stuart Mill's 'On Liberty,' Hume's 'Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding,' Berkeley's 'Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge,' Bacon's 'Novum Organum,' Gay's 'Concerning the Fundamental Principle of Virtue or Morality,' Hobbes' ''Leviathon,' etc." Quite bright and lovely. Rather uncommon.
