The first serious critical examination of the philosopher social critic Erich Fromm works. Shelfwear to the lower book edges and very slight bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine. Browning to the paper edges. Previous owner's Ex Libris stamp to the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper. Very slight browning of the pages. The dustwrapper is rubbed, faded and the background is dull. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine. The spine has become particularly affected by sun damage, causing fading of the lettering and darkening of the paper. This is the First USA Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
