This is not a facsimile or reproduction it is the genuine first edition.Two-exowner book plates or inside front cover. Pages are clean and binding is tight. Some browing at front and rear end leafs. Red boards with gild center piece on front. Stamped ownership to Golden Seal Research Headquarters, Library on front end leaf. I purchased this book in the now defunct Acres of Books (whose name is stamped on back end fly leaf) in Long Beach. CA, in the 1990s. This is part of the Imperial Studies Series. Two other books in the series per ads in back of book are "The Old Empire and the New," and "The Staple Trades of the Empire." All were printed records of series of Rhodes lectures delivered University College, University of London, during the height of the British Empire.
