About the author

New Orleanian Scott Campbell worked in the publishing industry for nine years before founding River Road Press in 2014, where he served as publisher. In 2020, Campbell was named publisher of Pelican Publishing. This is his second picture-book collaboration with his daughter Tallulah.

Tallulah began learning the publishing business at an early age and has helped with every facet of the business. She attends Patrick F. Taylor Science & Technology Academy and is fluent in French.


Visual artist Nichole Dupre graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a BA in elementary education, a master's in curriculum and instruction, and an art certification. She teaches art to elementary children in St. Tammany Parish public schools and creates beautiful three-dimensional pieces inspired by New Orleans through her company, Altered Art by Nichole Dupre. She lives in Bush, Louisiana.
