First ed. thus; 120 p., clean and unmarked within but with name of former owner on floral front end page and at upper edge of t.p.; and smudges on lower edge of t.p.; gutters cracked and front end pages, t.p. and t.o.c are detached; p. 17/18 is also detached from sewn signature--but binding is firm and volume square ; AEG; clean dark green boards with still clear gilt lettering have bumped corners and some rubbing along spine, esp. at crown and foot. What makes this edition so desirable are the exquisite engravings that accompany each and every fable on strong unfoxed paper.
