Longmans, Green & Co, London, 1958. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. Introduction by author. Black coloured cloth covered boards with orange coloured titles to the back strip. Red coloured tint to the top text edge. Photographic dustwrapper with pink and white coloured titles to the front panel and black and white coloured titles to the back strip. This is the author's 3rd book, smuggled out of prison and tells of how he acquired a mastery of American legal processes with the help of the attorneys. The top edge of the text block shows a splash mark which has "watered down" the colour of the tinting. Offset tanning of the end pages. Softening of the back strip edges. Light tanning of the text block edges and light age toning of the pages. The dustjacket is lightly rubbed at the corners and at the head and heel of the spine. There is a 0.75 inch tear at the bottom right-hand corner of the rear panel. Sunning to the back strip and lighter sunning to the rear panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. XVI, 272 pages,.
