About the author

Michael Burgan is a freelance writer who specializes in books for children and young adults, both fiction and non-fiction. He also has written articles and blog posts for adult audiences that have appeared in newspapers, university publications, and on the Bloomberg website. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in history, Burgan is also a produced playwright and the editor of The Biographer's Craft, the newsletter for Biographers International Organization. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
