Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome, nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing the mildest wear and a minor, unobtrusive cosmetic imperfection. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Very close to "As New". The DJ shows mild rubbing to the panels; sun-blanching to the orange-toned background field of the backstrip (the white titles thereon are slightly muted; the black publisher's name remains bold; the price ($3.50) is intact; mylar-protected. Theodore Roethke (1908 1963) was one of the most accomplished and influential poets of his generation, having won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1954 for his book The Waking, and the annual National Book Award for Poetry on two occasions: in 1959 for 'Words for the Wind', and posthumously in 1965 for this work, 'The Far Field'.
