Purple hard cover with gilt titles to the spine, with the dust jacket. Book condition good, corners and spine ends rubbed, small crease to top quarter of spine, spine slightly faded, spotting to edge of page block just creeping on to page margins, slight toning to pages. Dust jacket condition good, age toned, spotting to verso and flaps which shows through in places, 2cm dent in front panel, spine ends slightly chipped, spine sunned, not price clipped. Synopsis

Margaret Allingham was a prolific writer who sold her first story at age eight and published her first novel before turning 20. Allingham went on to become one of the pre-eminent writers who helped bring the detective story to maturity in the 1920s and 1930s.
