Description

Praha, Academia, 1967. Large 8vo (23.8 x 17.2 cm). 223 pp.; 46 [43; 3] (groups of) text figures. Publisher's brown cloth with black tile on spine and front board, in original printed dust jacket. = A very uncommon but excellent, well-illustrated monograph on Tardigrada and Pentastomida, with numerous fine illustrations. Written in Czech, with short summaries in German and Russian. Provenance: with the pictorial (entomologcal) bookplate of the Slovak invertebrate biologist Ilja Okali mounted on the front pastedown, and his small stamp on the title page. Some wear to dust jacket edges, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
