About This Item

Boston: Houghton Mifflin (Trade), 1990. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Plus/Very Good Minus. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾. N/a. 336pp. (white spine) 12mo. sized. 1985 and not 1990 as the library info. suggests. This copy (unlike the library photograph) does have a dust jacket with number 16 (Peterson Field Guides) at the tail. A very good plus, clean, tight copy in very good minus jacket. Original publisher's light blue boards - stamped in white to the spine and black to the front board. A colour and b & w plate section in the middle. A former owner's name and date in black biro to the head of the inside of the front endpaper. Slight rubbing to the corners at the head and tail of the spine. The jacket has not been price-clipped. It has a vertical crease running the length of the front flap and a couple of other creases to the corners of the front flap. A 2cm short tear has been expertly repaired to the head of the rear panel with an associated couple of short creases to it. There is a strip of toning to both sides of the jacket at the head and some spotting or toning running down the length of the spine of the jacket but on the verso, so doesn't show. Some probable entirely uniform fading to the spine of the jacket. A very good plus copy in very good minus jacket.
