About This Item

New York: The Citadel Press Though not dated, the book, published during the 1960s in a Stated First Edition in Fine condition with a Very Good unclipped dust jacket. (Click on photo.) It is an exceptional reference work to all 27 of Greta Garbo's films. It features a critical essay with photographs, "The Garbo Image", by film historian Parker Tyler. Each film in this filmography includes a number of photographs, the cast, credita, synopsis, and relevant period critical reviews. The book is bound in black cloth with die-stamped silver spine lettering and top-edge red stain. There are no marks or inscriptions from former owners, the binding is secure, and the pages are clean and bright throughout. The dust jacket has some light crinkling and discoloration, as well as some small closed tears, repaired on the reverse. I've placed the dust jacket in a Brodart protective sleeve. The book measures 8 5/8 by 11 5/16 inches and includes 155 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
