Reed, first book later printing, second and third first editions. A complete collection of G. H. Reed's books on architecture, a later printing of the first book, originally published in 1928 (the 1938 edition), and first editions of the second and third books, published in 1936 and 1937. First book containing a general introduction to architecture, with notes on Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Modern architecture; second book with information on military and domestic architecture; and the third focused on the architecture of the parish church. Each volume richly illustrated in text. Complete with unclipped dust wrappers. In the original publisher's uniform quarter cloth bindings over paper covered boards. Externally excellent with minor shelf wear only. Previous ownership ink inscription to title page of third book, dated 1940. Dust wrappers unclipped and sound, chipped and soiled, lightly marked, with minor loss to head and tail of spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. With numerous illustrations in text. Very Good Indeed
