About This Item
London: Duckworth, 1933. First edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8" by 5". None. A first edition of Edith Sitwell's poetry anthology Five Variations on a Theme. Edith Sitwell was a British poet and critic, eldest of the three literary Sitwells. First edition. Sitwell published poetry continuously from 1913, some of it abstract and set to music. In paper-covered boards in original dustwrapper and brodart wrap. Externally very smart indeed, there is some minor rubbing to the extremities only. The dustwrapper is clipped. Internally, the pages are firmly bound and are bright and clean throughout, although there is some offsetting to the endpages and pastedowns. Near Fine
