Colour illustrated boards, again by Brian Harrison-Lever, with gold, orange and black coloured titles and black coloured titles to back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as to under lying boards, with gold, orange and black coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. It's Christmas morning in the trenches of Flanders fields during World War I. A young digger sees a small robin caught on the barbed wire in no man's land and goes and frees it. All the while he is in the sights of German snipers in their trenches in the same field. He walks back to his trench, and, as he walks back he hears (in German) the Carol "Silent Night"; and, as he approaches his trench the same Carol is being sung. A small book for young readers.
