Good binding. 8vo.; (8 5/8 " x 5 1/2"), in tan half-calf over marbled boards; the front gutter is cracked; the rear gutter is broken so the spine is "flopping"; the plates are fresh and lovely.~~There are 25 plates -- one for each of the 12 months of 1850, and one for each of the 12 months of 1851, with a second plate for December of that year.~. Good binding.

Contemporary green half morocco over marbled boards, spines with raised bands, gilt lettered direct to two panels and with a gilt leaf device to the others, ownership inscription of an Elizabeth Pilkington dated 1847 to the front of each volume. 67 handcoloured plates. Some offsetting from the plates to the adjacent text leaves, occasional foxing, a little wear to the bindings though they remain sound, very good overall.
