New York: Harper & Brothers, 1891. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Salmon cloth with gilt lettering and pictorial stamping. 308pp. Very good. A bit edgeworn and rubbed, with endpapers a tad age toned; pencilled 1891 ownership signature. Tight, decent first edition, first state, of this first book, a collection of a half dozen short stories, by this important Kentucky local color novelist (1849-1925).
