Book #5 in what would eventually become a popular 24-book series about the Flying U Ranch & the Happy Family who live there in the early 20th-century US. In 353 pages, with glossy frontispiece by Anton Otto Fischer. A FIRST EDITION, first printing, from 1915, this hardcover 12mo has green cloth-covered boards stamped with a red & black design & lettering to front & spine. Condition is Good: generally very clean with the occasional spot or smudge. Binding secure, but front hinge starting. Pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges. Two old gift inscriptions dated 1919 & 1936 to ffep; NO other writing/underlining/highlighting. Flaws: rubbing to extremities, heavy along spine, with many heavily rubbed spots/patches. No DJ.
