First edition hardback in original dustjacket , not dated , 284PP , blue boards with black titles to spine and front , no inscriptions , no spine lean , no tears to pages , corners are sharp , spine tips are pushed with minor wear , usual page toning with age, no offsetting to endpapers , foxing to edges and prelims , in original jacket that is not price-clipped showing $ 7/6d net on spine , spine tips , edges and corners rubbed , spine , back panel and flaps are toned with age , toned on verso , several small closed tears to edges ,small loss to spine tips and all corners , a scarce crime fiction title in original jacket listed in Hubin , not a remainder , not an ex-library copy.
