No dustwrapper, some bumping and wear to spine ends and corners of green decorated boards, spine has darkened to a brownish-green, silver titles thereon are faded but still readable but those on front board are still bright, as is the illustration of trees. Original owner's armorial bookplate (Owen Fitzgerald Knott) inside front board, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. The authors first novel, originally published in May 1898, a story set in mediaeval times of knights of old, damsels in distress, and similar. 384pp plus 4pp adverts.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
