Concord NH: The Rumford Press, 1920. First Edition. Hardcover. Octavo; xi, 172pp. A Very Good copy in publisher's blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and the front cover. Ffep inscribed by author "To Col. Frank C. Bolles, With sincere regards and appreciation of his kindness and courtesy - William J. Robinson Aug 31, 1921." Camp Devensn was established on September 5, 1917, as a temporary cantonment for training soldiers during World War I. It was a reception center for war selectees and became a demobilization center after the war. Three divisions (the 12th, the 26th and the 76th) were activated and trained at Devens during the war. Approximately 850 soldiers, mostly privates, died at the camp during 1918 from the Spanish flu. (wiki).
